Magna Carta College is located in Summertown, Oxford. Accommodation is not included in the fees, or provided by the college.
The rent for accommodation varies upwards from £90 per week. If you require our help with accommodation, you must inform the College at least 6 weeks in advance of your intended date of travel and forward £300 as a deposit for the reservation of accommodation.
Most of our students choose to live in Oxford in order to enjoy the traditional Oxford University lifestyle with the vast choice of activities, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Some students may be pleased to know accommodation is also available in the beautiful and quieter towns and villages surrounding Oxford.
Oxford is renowned for its world famous architecture including the medieval University colleges with their quadrangles, cloisters and passageways. Oxford has over 1,500 listed buildings including Gibb's Radcliffe Camera, Wren's Sheldonian Theatre, and Hawksmoor's All Souls College.
Oxford's Botanic Garden is one of the oldest in the world, having been founded as a physic garden in 1621. The Holywell Music Room, built in 1748, is the oldest music performance hall in Europe. It still hosts regular concerts by world-class musicians. Books have been printed in Oxford since 1478 and the city is home to many learned and famous authors.
Oxford is on the edge of the Cotswolds region of England, the largest designated area of "Outstanding Natural Beauty" in the U.K. - stretching from Chipping Campden in the north to Bath in the south and covering an area of 2038 sq. kms (790 sq. miles).
