Dr Hassan Rizvi, BA (Econ), MA, PhD (Hull)

Dr Hassan Rizvi was commissioned in the army in 1991. He served on various command, staff and instructional appointments during his military career including United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Haiti, 1995-96 as a Liaison officer in the Mission Headquarters. During his service, he also read economics and politics attaining degrees in both disciplines.

On leaving the army, Dr Rizvi pursued his academic career in Politics and achieved doctorate from University of Hull, writing his thesis on Pakistan-US relations. He specialises in the field of security, nuclear politics and anti-terrorism.

Dr Rizvi is also a lecturer in Public Services, teaching various courses on the subject. He has published and delivered various research papers. He is currently authoring a book on US-Pakistan alliance credibility and also contributing a chapter about Pakistan’s position in South Asian future in another publication.

He is presently working as Associate lecturer and Consultant at Magna Carta College.
